Is providing excellent Customer Service Your Thing? We’re looking for a Booking Office Clerk to support our customers as they travel through our stations — providing timely information, handling ticket sales, making announcements, and ensuring a smooth, safe journey experience every step of the way.
What you’ll be doing:
- Booking Office: Selling tickets and travel products Checking and signing for booking office floats Compiling shift sheets from ticket selling machines Ensuring accuracy of sales and cash handling
- Announcing: Providing real-time information and updates over station announcements Communicating clearly and effectively during delays or disruptions
- Updating train service information & Supporting passengers with journey planning and assistance
- Ensuring safety and cleanliness at all assigned stations
About You
We’re looking for enthusiastic, adaptable, and customer-focused individuals who:
- Have a natural flair for customer service
- Are confident using IT systems and can pick up new tools quickly
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Are proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently
- Can work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
